This was the final concert for the Moody Blues until October, 1978. Burnt out with travel, and unable to write anything that gave them satisfaction (and with a new studio beckoning), each struck out to make his own kind of music. The first one with a single was the Graeme Edge Band ("We Like To Do It" July 19, 1974). Both Graeme Edge and Ray Thomas made two solo albums during this hiatus; Hayward, Lodge and Pinder each made one. The most successful album was the collaboration between Justin Hayward and John Lodge, "Blue Jays", which was issued in 1975, and resulted in a tour of the UK. | |||
