THE MOODY BLUES

Founded in May, 1964 (sources say 1st, 2nd or 4th - dates vary)
The founding members were Ray Thomas, Mike Pinder, Graeme Edge, Denny Laine and Clint Warwick

TOUR DATES FOR 1964

The group name started as "The M & B 5"

A poster exists for May 15, 1964 showing the Moody Blues playing with The Kinks at Wembley Arena. However, in May, 1964, the group was the "M & B 5", not "Moody Blues". Also in 1964, there was no Wembley Arena (it was the Empire Pool) and finally on May 15, 1964, The Kinks were playing at the "Shepherd's Club" in West London. (Doug Hinman, "The Kinks: All Day and All of the Night", p. 57)
