I'll Go Crazy
James Brown

Oh you know, feel all right [Oh yeah]
You know, feel all right, children [Oh yeah]
You know, I feel all right [Oh yeah]
Oh yeah, you're hanging me up, baby
Baby!

If you leave me, I'll go crazy
If you leave me, baby, should I go crazy?
'Cause I love ya
I love ya
Oh, I love you too much

If you hurt me, I'll go crazy
If you're ever going to hurt me, babe, I'll go crazy
'Cause I love ya
I love ya
Oh, I love you too much

You've got to live
For yourself
Yourself and nobody else
You've got to live
For yourself
Yourself and nobody else

Oh baby, I'll go crazy
If you ever leave me, baby, I'll go crazy
'Cause I love ya
I love ya
Oh, I love you too much

You've got to live
For yourself
Yourself and nobody else
You've got to live
For yourself
Yourself and nobody else

Talk about me, (take me) by the hand
If you hurt me baby, you know that I'll go crazy
'Cause I love ya
I love ya
Oh, I love you much more than I can say

I'll Go Crazy/Let Me Go
This single was released in Holland in 1965, backed with "Let Me Go"

Something You Got
Chris Kenner

Something you got, baby
Makes me work all day
Something you got, baby
Makes me bring you all my pay

Something you got, yeah
Ah, you ought to know
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I said, my, my, whoa, oh
I love you so

Something you got, baby
Keep me home every night
Something you got, baby
Oh, makes everythin' all right

Something you got
I think you ought to know
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I said, my, my, whoa, oh
I love you so

Something you got
(let me tell you)
I think you ought to know
I said, my, my, whoa, oh
I love you so

Something you got, baby
Makes me work all day
Something you got, baby
Makes me bring you all my pay
Something you got, yeah
Say you ought to know now (I love you baby)
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I said, my, my, whoa, oh
My, my, oh, oh
I love you so

Go Now
Larry Banks and Milton Bennett
We've already said...
"Goodbye"
Since you gotta go
Oh, you had better go now
Go now, go now, go now
Before you see me cry

I want you to tell me
Just what you intend to do now
'Cause how many times
Do I have to tell you, darlin', darlin'
I'm still in love with you now

We've already said...
"So long"
I don't want to see you go
Oh, you had better go now
Go now, go now, go now
Don't you even try
Telling me that you really don't want me to end this way
'Cause darlin, darlin'
Can't you see I want you to stay?

Since you gotta go
Oh you had better go now
Go now, go now, go now
Before you see me cry
I want you to tell me
Just what you intend to do now
'Cause how many times
Do I have to tell you, darlin', darlin'
I'm still in love, still in love with you now
I don't want to see you go
But darlin'
You better go now

Go Now
This single was the breakout hit for the Moody Blues and made them a top-40 name. Swedish picture sleeve shown.

Can't Nobody Love You
Phillip Mitchell

Can't nobody love you, baby
Like I'm loving you right now
Cause they don't know how to love you
Like I do

And can't nobody talk to you, baby
Like I'm talking to you right now
They just don't know how to talk to you
Like I said I do

I'm gonna love you in the morning
I'm gonna love you through the night
And I'm won't stop loving you baby
Cause this way everything's alright

Can't nobody love you
Like I'm loving you right now
They just don't know how to love you
Like I do

Can't nobody kiss you, baby
Like I'm kissing you right now
Just don't know how to kiss you
Like I said I do

And can't nobody...
Oh, can't nobody love you
Can't nobody squeeze you
Can't nobody kiss you like I do
Just don't know how to love you
Like I said I do

Now some guys make eyes at you
But they don't do it all the time, I know
I'd never do it baby
But you know, you know what's on my mind

Can't nobody love you
Like I'm loving you right now
'Cause they don't know how to love you
Like I do [speak to me]

I'm gonna love you in the morning, baby
And I'm gonna love you through the night
I'm won't stop, I won't loving you, baby
Oh, till everything's all right

Can't nobody love you, baby
Like I'm loving you right now
'Cause they don't know how to love you
Know how to love you, like I do

'Cause they don't know how
They don't know how to love you
Like I said I do
Oh, yeah

I Don't Mind
James Brown

I don't mind your love
I don't mind the one you're thinking of
'Cause I know
Baby, I know
You're gonna miss me

I don't mind
He loved you so
I don't mind
It can't all go
'Cause I know
Baby, I know
You're gonna miss me

He didn't listen
To what you gotta say

I don't mind
This is all of my song
I don't mind
Good bye, so long
'Cause I know
Mmmm, I know
You're gonna miss me

Baby, how can you ever let me go?
You know, you know that I love you so
What you did, baby, what you did baby
So few have done

I've Got A Dream
Jeff Barry, Ellie Greenwich

I've gotta dream
Every night I said to my self
Yeah, I gotta share it
Share it with somebody else

We can make a beautiful team
Oh baby, it's a beautiful dream
But what am I gonna do with it, baby?
So what am I gonna do with it, baby?
What am I gonna do with it, baby?
Well, if I can't share with you?

I got some love
And baby it's the kind that will do
Yeah, I've gotta kiss
I gave to somebody like you

The moon is shining up above
But I've got a heart full of love
What am I gonna do with it, baby?
So what am I gonna do with it, baby?
What am I gonna do with it, baby?
Well, if I can't give it to you?

I can't throw it in the river
I can't toss it in the sea
I can't put it in a paper bag
So baby come and get from me

I've gotta dream
And every night I said to myself
Yeah, I gotta share it
Share it with somebody else
We can make a beautiful team
Well, baby it's a beautiful dream
Well, if I can't share it with you?
So what am I gonna do with it, baby?
Well, if I can't share it with you?
Well, if I can't share it
Well, if I can't share it
Well, if I can't share it with you?

Let Me Go
Mike Pinder and Denny Laine

When I telephone you
Don't make out that you're not home
It wouldn't hurt at all
To answer the call
When I hold you near
When I call you, dear
You never seem
To want to know me at all
Oh, baby
Let me go
If I stay around
Then you're gonna see my heart break
I can't stand all this heartache
'Cause I love you so
I find it hard to go
For I can see a change in your ways
'Cause when I'm telling you
How much I think of you
You always look away in a gaze

Oh, baby
Let me go
If I stay around
Then you're gonna see my heart break
I can't stand all this heartache
Have you lost every little bit of love
You had for me, baby?
Are you gonna let me go?
Go on and go on this way
When I telephone you
Don't make out you're not at home
It wouldn't hurt at all
To answer the call
When I hold you near
When I call you, dear
You never seem
To want to know me at all

Oh, baby
Let me go
If I stay around
Then you're gonna see my heart break
I can't stand all this heartache
You're gonna let me go, baby
Oh, gonna let me go, baby
Oh yea

Stop
Denny Laine and Mike Pinder

So you talked to my girl when I don't want you to
Want you to
Just the thought of you holding her when I don't want you to
Want you to
Oh you know

Stop! You're trying to break it up between us
Don't want a broken heart between us
Oh please forget about it
Make your mind up
What you want to do about us

So you talk better than me and you know you're going
know your going
If you want to get her from me and you know you know it
know you know it
oh you know
I'm telling you
It won't do

Stop! You're trying to break it up between us
Stop! Don't want a broken heart between us
Oh please forget about it
Make your mind up
What you want to do about us

Stop! You're trying to break it up between us
Stop! Don't want a broken heart between us
Stop! You're trying to break it up between us
Stop! Don't want a broken heart between us
Oh please forget about it
Make your mind up
What you want to do about us

Thank You Baby
Denny Laine and Mike Pinder

Thank you, baby
You stood by me
When times were blue
Thank you, baby

Now I'll make it up to you
Gonna make time
Stand still
You know I will
Gonna make time
Stand still
And every day I'm gonna say
And every day I'm gonna say
Thank you baby
You gave me love
And pulled me through
Thank you, baby

All the time I needed you
Gonna make time
Stand still
In my place
Gonna make time
Stand still
In my place
Gonna make time
Stand still

And every day I'm gonna say
And every day I'm gonna say
And every day I'm gonna say
Thank you, baby
And you know
That not too long ago
I saw my troubles grow
Grow and grow
With you by my side
Little baby
Make them run and hide
And never again to show
Wo, wo, wo, to show
Thank you, baby

It Ain't Necessarily So
George and Ira Gershwin
From "Porgy and Bess"
Based on the 1925 novel "Porgy" by Du Bose Heywood

Ain't necessarily so
Ain't necessarily so
Makes you liable
To read in a Bible
Ain't necessarily so

Little David, he was small all right
Yet David now he was small, all right
Taste good Like a lion
Lay down and he dying
He was small, all right

Little Moses he was found in a stream
Yeah Moses, now he was found in the stream
When that Pharaoh's sweet daughter
She came by and and sat by in the water
Fished him, she said, from a stream

Jonah now he lived in a whale
Yeah, Jonah he lived in a whale
Yet he made his own way
And fishes had no way
Jonah he lived in a whale

I said ain't necessarily so
Ain't necessarily so
The things you're liable
To read in the Bible
Ain't necessarily so
Ain't necessarily so
No it ain't necessarily so

It ain't necessarily so

True Story
Denny Laine and Mike Pinder

Now listen to me people
I want to tell you something

Every single day
I go on my way
And I won't worry about my baby
I worry about my girl
'Cause she's a pretty one
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Found me another one
Love for her is gone
And I don't worry about my baby
I worry about my girl
Tell me true, oh yeah

If she had to do the things she done
She might have used more tact!
I can't be responsible
For all the love she lacked

This is a true story
That's pretty, too
Well, I'm telling you
'Cause every single day
When I go on my way
I don't worry about my baby
I worry about my girl, yeah
?
Well, I tell you baby
Yeah, yeah

Bye Bye Burd*
"Sonny Boy" Williamson and Willie Dixon
I say bye bye bird
I Say bye bye bird
I Say bye bye baby
I Say bye bye
Bye bye baby
Bye bye

I say bye bye birdy
I say bye bye birdy
Bye bye baby
Bye bye birdy

If you ever want to say goodbye to your girl?
Well, I'll give you one or two little tips
Say bye bye baby
Then you say bye bye bird
Then you say get your suitcase, honey
I don't want to see ya or hear a word

Say bye bye
Say bye bye
Bye bye baby
Bye bye birdy

Now if you ever want to say goodbye to your girl
I'll give you one or two little tips
Say bye bye birdy
Then you say bye bye baby
Bye bye girl, mmmmm, not another word

Bye
Say bye
Say bye bye
Say bye bye
Bye bye baby
Miss me now

Bye bye birdy
Bye bye baby

Bye bye baby
Bye bye

Denny Laine and Mike Pinder

Oh those people gotta, got to go
Got to go

Send the people away, friend
I'm just up for the day, friend
I've come up from town to see
All the things I dread to see
In that letter I got the other day

They gotta go

Send the people away, friend

All those people have got to go away

Got to go

Ah piz up to know, I fear (feel) (1:02-1:07)

I've come up from town to see
All the things I dread to see

Steal Your Heart Away
Bobby Parker

Hey, hey, hey you know that
Feels so fine
I want to love you all the time

I'm gonna steal your heart away
Steal your heart away
I'm gonna steal your heart away
No more will it stray
Steal your heart away

What should I care about
About your other man?
I just want to love you
As much as I can

I'm gonna steal your heart away
Steal your heart away
I'm gonna steal your heart babe
No more will it stray
Steal your heart away

My mama told me
Before I was five years old
She said "Your gonna be a star someday
Son, you got heart & soul"

Steal your heart away
Steal your heart away
I'm gonna steal your heart baby
No more will it stray
Steal your heart away

Lose Your Money Don't Lose Your Mind
Denny Laine and Mike Pinder

Everybody's talking
To that gal of mine
'Cause she really likes it
She's so fine

Lose your money don't lose your mind
Lose your woman, but don't go with mine

I heard you lost your woman
'Cause you did her wrong
Gambled all your money
Day and Night

Lose your money don't lose your mind
Lose your woman, but don't go with mine

I don't have
to lose my woman yeah
'Cause she was not here
Once again

Lose your money don't lose your mind
Lose your woman, but don't go with mine

It's Easy Child
Sendler, Milton Bennett and Gene Redd

It's easy, child
Fallin' in love with you [Falling in love with you]
It's easy, child
Fallin' in love with you [Falling in love with you]

It's easy, easy easy child
It's easy
Falling in love with you

Now it didn't take much
To falling in love with you
The minute I felt your touch
I knew what I got to do

It's easy, easy,
It's easy child
It's easy
Falling in love with you

It's easy, child
Fallin' in love with you [Falling in love with you]
It's easy, child
Fallin' in love with you [Falling in love with you]

Whoa, it's easy, it's easy
It's easy child
It's easy
Falling in love with you

Now it didn't take much
To falling in love with you
The minute I felt your touch
I knew what I got to do

Whoa, it's easy, it's easy
It's easy child
It's easy
Falling in love with you

I Don't Want To Go On Without You
Bert Burns and Jerry Wexler

I don't want to
Go on without you
It's so bad to be alone
Whoa, baby come home

I need you, yes I do now
I will be so blue
I couldn't see your face
your face
oh...it's in this place

Here in the gloom
Of my lonely room
I hold her handkerchief
And smell her sweet perfume

I can't stand it
Leave home without you
O my Darlin' hear my plea
Come on back to me

Here in the gloom
In my lonely room
I hold her handkerchief
And smell her sweet perfume

I can't stand it
Leave home without you
Oh my darlin, hear my plea
Come on back to me
I can't stand it
I can't stand it
Leave home without you

Don't you go now
Don't you go now
Don't you go now

I will be so blue
I don't want to go on without you

Time Is On My Side
Jerry Ragovoy**

Time is on my side. (Yes, it is!)
Time is on my side. (Yes, it is!)
Now, you were saying that you want to be free,
But you'll come running back, you'll come running back,
You'll come running back to me.

Time is on my side. (Yes, it is!)
Time is on my side. (Yes, it is!)
You're searching for good times but just wait and see,
You'll come running back, you'll come running back,
You'll come running back to me.

Go ahead, go ahead and light up the town,
Baby, do everything your heart desires
Remember, I'll always be around
And I know, like I told you so many times before
You're gonna come back, baby
You're gonna come back knockin' right on my door!

Time is on my side. (Yes, it is!)
Time is on myside. (Yes, it is!)
'Cause I got the real love the kind that you need,
You'll come running back, you'll come running back,
You'll come running back to me.
Time, time, time is on my side. (Yes, it is!)
Time, time, time is on my side. (Yes, it is!)

From The Bottom Of My Heart
Mike Pinder and Denny Laine

I can't be with you anymore
In love with you
You gotta realise, baby
There ain't nowhere
I can find love anymore
That I can criticize
From the bottom of my heart
I really love you
Yes, I do now
It didn't take too long
To be sure
From the bottom of my heart
I really do

Things you do I admire
And I'm in love with you
You gotta realise, baby
Everyday our love grows
Higher and higher
I find no fault in you
I can criticize
From the bottom of my heart
I really love you
Yes, I do now
It didn't take too long to be sure
From the bottom of my heart
I really do

Now don't you ever go away
Without you
I just don't know
Where to start
I'm asking you to stay
And, baby, you know I've said it
From the bottom of my heart

It's so good
That I know
And I'm in love with you
All you gotta realise baby
As day by day
Our love will grow
I find no fault in you
I can criticize
From the bottom of my heart
I really love you
Yes, I do now
It didn't take too long
To be sure
From the bottom of my heart
I really do
Oh, I really do love you
I really do love you, babe

And My Baby's Gone
Mike Pinder and Denny Laine

Without a love anymore
I'm like a rich man growing poor
All my treasures are stone
Yeah, all my treasures are stone
And my baby, my baby, my baby
My baby is gone

Without your heart anymore
I'm like a room without doors
When I walk in, I fall
When I walk in, I fall
And my baby, my baby, my baby
My baby is gone

Everyday
Denny Laine and Mike Pinder

Every day
Someone finds a love, they say
And I know it will be OK
Yeah

Love will come
As it does to everyone
Though I know it won't be too easy
Yeah

Some people get love
Then they throw it away
Thow it away
Is what they do
Every day

When love comes
We'll have fun
Let's run, run
Run, run, run

Every day
Someone finds a love, they say
And I know it will be OK
Yeah

'Cause when love comes
Love comes and goes within a day
So when it comes to me
I'm gonna make it stay

You Don't (All The Time)
Denny Laine and Mike Pinder

You don't and I can't make you love me
You won't even get to thinking of me
All the time, I try to do things which my [?] care
All the time, no matter what I do I can't get anywhere
All the time, I love you
What about you?

You don't
And it's about time I got to face
You won't
Put yourself in my place
All the time, I see you smile but never one for me
All the time, no matter what I do I just can't make you see
All the time, I love you
What about you?

All the time
Sorrow....
I'm troubled in my mind
Who will you love tomorrow?
Yesterday has been so kind

You don't
And it's about time I got to face
You won't
Put yourself in my place
All the time, I try to do things which my [?] care
All the time, no matter what I do I can't get anywhere
All the time, I love you
What about you?

You don't
You don't
You don't...

This Is My House (But Nobody Calls)
Mike Pinder and Denny Laine

This is my house, but nobody calls
When I'm there
When I'm there
Even a mouse would be welcome
To sit in my chair
He can sit in anyplace he wants
Be welcomed as a friend
If I can't have human love
At least I can pretend
Yeah!

This is my house but nobody calls
When I'm home
When I'm home
It is a house that is destined
To be all alone
All alone

People from the village pass by
They don't take a glance
They don't want to talk to me
Across the garden fence
No!

Nobody calls me to see what I'm like
Nobody sees me in the lime light
I'm right and I'm waiting
For a knock on the door
One night I won't be surprised
When somebody calls

Life's Not Life
Denny Laine and Mike Pinder

Every ray of light
Now reminds me of the day
How come you went away
So suddenly

It's kinda like you planned
To run and hide from me
Now life's not life no more
Time to think it over
You were just a lover
You're much more than that now
And now I fell
In such a state of feeling down

And life's not life no more
Life's not life
No, life's not life no more
I've slipped up for sure
I slipped up
But not enough to fall
Life's not life no more
I've slipped up for sure
I slipped over
Now I'm felling sore
Life's not life no more.

Life's Not Life
Dutch Picture Sleeve. This single was released in January 1967, backed with "He Can Win".

He Can Win
Denny Laine and Mike Pinder

Never put him down if he's not right
Every man has time to see the light
If he's cool about it
He could win
There's no doubt about it
He'll be in
He can win

He's trying hard to be so nice
Everybody goofs it once or twice
But I'll make a bet that he can win
Everything you get, yeah, he'll be in
He can win

I tell ya
What he's gonna do
'Cause I know,
'Cause it's me
He's out to win respect from you
So you show him that you please

He knows where it's at but give him time
He never lets his manners rule his mind
Every morning [?] he can win
He'll be in the lead and he'll be in
He can win

Give him all he needs and he can win
He'll be in the lead and he'll be in
He can win

I tell ya
What he's gonna do
'Cause I know
'Cause it's me!
He's out to get respect from you
So you show him that you please

Never put him down if he's not right
Every man has time to see the light
If he's cool about it
He could win in
There's no doubt about it
He'll be in
He can win

Boulevard de la Madeleine
Mike Pinder and Denny Laine

She said she'd come, she didn't
I'm the one in love, she isn't
There's no girl standing there
And there's no one who cares
And the trees are so bare
On the Boulevard de la Madeleine

It's a sad day in Paris
With no girl by my side
Got to feeling so badly
Like a part of me died
It would have been
So good to see her
I never thought
She wouldn't be there
There's no girl standing there
And there's no one who cares
And the trees are so bare
On the Boulevard de la Madeleine

Oh, I wish I knew her better
It's not easy to forget her
There's no girl standing there
And there's no one who cares
And the trees are so bare
On the Boulevard de la Madeleine

It's a sad day in Paris
With no girl by my side
Got to feeling so badly
Like a part of me died
It would have been
So good to see her
I never thought
She wouldn't be there
There's no girl standing there
And there's no one who cares
And the trees are so bare
On the Boulevard de la Madeleine

They were essentially the same album on vinyl with the exception of "I Go Crazy" - the US and UK versions are different. As Compac Disks became popular and were able to hold more music, this album was reissued in 1988, 1992 and 2006 with more and more Bonus Tracks. The latest release has all the known recorded songs by the early Moody Blues.
